Billy Williams EHF was selected to receive the initial NESDA Frank J. Moch Lifetime achievement award. Born in 1920 he is the current NESDA Bylaws Internal Development Committee Chairperson who is an example for dedication to serve others. Billy was a Bombardier on the B25 Martin Marauder serving with the Army Air Corps in WWII. He bailed out after his B-25 was shot down over France in May of 1944 and captured. He spent the next year in the German POW camp Luftwaffe Stallag 3 until set free by the U.S. 3rd Army. After being honorably discharged he opened Williams Radio and TV with his brother in 1947 in Jacksonville, FL. He also currently holds the office of treasurer in the Florida Electronics Sales and Service Association (FESA). He has previously served as NESDA region director (1974), FESA President (1972-73), receiving FESA's most prestigious award, the Sam Kessler Award with Lifetime FESA membership. He was inducted into NEIHOF in 1994.
Fay Wood EHF, NESDA Marketing and Membership Chairperson received the Outstanding NESDA Committee Chairperson and the Everett O. Pershing Memorial Membership Awards. The former is recognition of the Committee Chairperson for: goal-setting and accomplishment; effective delegation of duties to fellow committee members; value of committee activity and the results to the association and/or the industry; and frequent and informative reporting. The latter is presented to the individual who obtains without reimbursement, the most new association members in excess of five. This excludes previous members with expired memberships in the last 2 years and all paid solicitors. Fay has received these Awards previously and was inducted into NEIHOF in 2004. We also suffered another tremendous loss.
